The Spring Hill College men’s tennis team showed pure domination in the second day of the SIAC Round-Up, winning all three games against Morehouse, Benedict, and Fort Valley State at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center on Friday.

The Badgers started the day off in fashion with a 7-0 win over Fort Valley State. Philip Bosman and Noah Eberhard started off doubles play with a clean 6-0 sweep, followed by a 6-1 victory for Matthew Pirie and Will Huckell. The Badgers finished off doubles with another clean sweep, in which Charles Wallace and Hugo Blasco Granell won 6-0 also. The dominance continued into singles play with the Badgers winning every singles point. Four badgers, Bosman, Kern, Arthur Praud, and Eberhard all earned clean sweeps in singles, winning their matches 6-0, respectively.

SHC didn’t take its foot off the gas heading into the second game of the day, sweeping Morehouse College 7-0. Charles Wallace and Hugo Blasco Granell started off doubles with a clean 6-0 sweep.  Tom Gutermann and Paul-Philipp Kern followed with a clean sweep of their own. Philip Bosman and Eberhard finished up the doubles point, winning 6-1.  Spring Hill went on to win every point in singles play, with Wallace and Sebastien Torres completing the clean sweep of 6-0.

The Badgers completed the trifecta sweep, winning 4-0 in the last match of the day against Benedict College. Wallace and Blasco Granell started out doubles play with a 6-1 win. Benedict would pick up the next set, forcing Kern and Gutermann to squeeze out their doubles victory with a 7-6 win, securing the doubles point for SHC. Kern, Eberhard and Blasco Granell were able to win their singles matches, securing the win and second day sweep for the Badgers.
