Spring Hill Wins Three on Second Day of SIAC Round-Up

The Spring Hill College women’s tennis team won all three matches in the second day of the SIAC Round-Up at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center.

The Badgers started the day off with a 4-1 win over Benedict. Claire Bosman and Brooke Powers were able to secure a win in doubles, winning 6-4. SHC would go on to win the doubles point due to a walkover. Spring Hill went on to win three singles matches, with Bosman, Emma Pager, and Alicia Wilson winning their singles matches.

Spring Hill stayed in tune for the second game of the day against Fort Valley State, where they won in controlling fashion, 7-0. Emma Koch and Sadie Viator earned a clean sweep in doubles, beating their opponents 6-0. Bosman and Powers also won in doubles, 6-3. Pager and Natalie Barron finished up the doubles point with a 7-5 victory. The Badgers solid play continued into singles action, where Koch, Bosman, Powers, Pager, Barron, and Viator were all able to win their set to give the badgers the clean sweep.

SHC finished the day out with a 5-0 win over Edward Waters. The Badgers would clean sweep the doubles point. Bosman, Pager, Paola Marin Sabao, and Danielle Day secured wins in singles allowing the Badgers to win all three matches on the day, dropping only one point across all three games.
