SHC Falls to Fort Valley State

SHC+Falls+to+Fort+Valley+State

The Spring Hill College women’s basketball team fell 46-38 to Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) foe Fort Valley State at the Health and Physical Education Complex on Monday evening.

The Badgers started off with a 12-8 lead through the first quarter and extended their lead over the Wildcats to 27-20 by halftime. FVSU came back in the second half and outscored SHC 26-11. In the end, Fort Valley State prevailed, 46-38, and improved to 2-2 overall and remains undefeated (2-0) in SIAC play. Spring Hill fell to 1-4 and 1-1 in conference play.

Redshirt junior guard Marta Duda led the game with her second consecutive double-double that was highlighted by 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Wildcats were led by Aaniyah Allen, who tallied 13 points and seven rebounds.
