Badgers Taken Down by Tritons

Badgers+Taken+Down+by+Tritons

The Spring Hill College women’s basketball team fell 63-41 to Eckerd in Saturday afternoon’s non-conference game at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center.

The Tritons jumped ahead to an 11-2 lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter. The Badgers chipped away, but were behind 20-11 at the end of the opening quarter. Spring Hill stayed within striking distance down 33-23 at halftime.

Eckerd extended its lead and prevented SHC on the floor to extend its lead to 49-29 in the third quarter. In the end, the Tritons took down the Badgers 63-41 at home.

Marta Duda led Spring Hill with 12 points and four rebounds. Eckerd’s Lauryn Vieira led the game with 14 points and Bella Green led with eight rebounds.

The game marked the final home contest for the Badgers in November, they will remain on the road until Dec. 2.
