The Spring Hill College men’s basketball team fell 82-73 to Florida Tech in the Erdman Automotive NCAA South Regional Challenge at the Charles and Ruth Clemente Center.

The Badgers took an early 9-5 lead in the opening minutes of the game behind two three pointers from Walter Peggs. Florida Tech responded with a 10-2 run and took an 18-11 lead with 9 minutes left in the first half. After a tough battle through the buzzer, the Panthers took a 36-27 lead into the halftime break.

Spring Hill remained on Florida Tech’s heels throughout the second half. With just over four minutes left in the game, two free throws from Steven Lylesbrought made it a 67-63 game. Florida Tech hung on to the lead to defeat Spring Hill 82-73.

Luka Erdtmann crashed the boards, leading the game with 11 total rebounds. Peggs led the Badgers’ scoring with 23 points. Bo Barber collected 17 points while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor and 4-of-7 from beyond the arc. Timothy Reilly also had an impressive night, narrowly missing a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds.
