Spring Hill Defeats Albany State in SIAC Semifinal

Spring+Hill+Defeats+Albany+State+in+SIAC+Semifinal

The Spring Hill College volleyball team defeated Albany State 3-1 (25-6, 25-6, 20-25, 25-20) in the semifinal match of the 2023 Cricket SIAC Women’s Volleyball Championship at the Tsunami Center on Friday.

The match marked the fourth-straight time that the Badgers and Golden Rams have met in the conference tournament semifinal. Spring Hill hit for .222 while holding Albany State to .036.

The Badger defense stood strong and led the match with seven total blocks coming from Hayley Hillman and 15 digs from Mikayla Boyer. Airyonna Weaverled the Badger offense with 11 kills and Jessica Fairly led with 17 assists. Boyer, Weaver and Haile Hallmon each recorded two service aces.
