The Spring Hill College women’s soccer team fell to Gulf South Conference foe West Alabama 2-1 in its final game of the season at Library Field on Sunday.
The Tigers opened scoring in the closing moments of the first half and took the 1-0 lead into the halftime break. UWA scored again in the 52nd minute and extended its lead to 2-0. Poppy Binding scored in the 67th minute to make it a 2-1 game. The second-half comeback would come just short with West Alabama defeating Spring Hill 2-1 in its season closer.
The Badgers took four shots, three of which were on goal. Carlotta Stark made four saves, bringing her career total to 150, the third-most in the program’s DII era.
