Spring Hill College men’s basketball student-athlete Steven Lyles was named to the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Men’s Basketball Preseason Second Team, the league announced Wednesday.
This is the first preseason honor the 6-4 guard has received in his career. He also attended the National Basketball Players’ Association (NBPA) Top 50 Camp for the second straight year this summer.
The junior averaged 34.4 minutes per game in 25 starts across 25 games during the 2022-23 season. He also averaged a career-high 11.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. The Georgia native shot .313 (26-83) from beyond the 3-point arc and .455 (117-257) from the floor last year.
