Spring Hill College’s Mia Saavedra was named the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Tuesday.
This is the third weekly award the freshman has earned in her career so far. She was named the SIAC Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 2 and Sept. 14.
Saavedra dominated at the SIAC West Tournament this past weekend. She totaled 43 kills through four clean sweeps. She led in kills in both matches on Saturday against Central State and Lane.
