The Spring Hill College women’s soccer team fell 2-1 on the road against Gulf South Conference foe Auburn Montgomery at the AUM Soccer Complex on Friday evening.
The Warhawks opened scoring in the 37th minute and took the lead into halftime. AUM struck again in the 56th minute before Poppy Binding answered after being assisted by Ashley Drennon in the 57th minute to make it a 2-1 game. Auburn Montgomery hung on to the one goal lead to defeat Spring Hill.
The Badgers took 17 shots, seven on target, while holding the Warhawks to 10. Binding took a season-high seven shots during the match. Spring Hill was awarded three corners while Auburn Montgomery was given two.
