The Spring Hill College volleyball team swept Edward Waters (25-20, 25-13, 25-18) and Albany State (25-18, 25-19, 25-14), while Mia Saavedra recorded a triple-double during the SIAC Mini at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center on Saturday.
Spring Hill started the SIAC Mini with a clean sweep of Edward Waters. The Badgers hit .409 while holding the Tigers to .160.
Saavedra became the 12th player in the country this season to record a triple-double with 10 kills, 18 assists and 11 digs. Brooke Borgmeyer led the match with a season-high 21 kills, while Jessica Fairly led with 26 assists. Airyonna Weaver led the defensive side of things with 18 digs. Libero Mikayla Boyer had three service aces.
Spring Hill finished its day with a 3-0 sweep of Albany State. In their first match since the 2022 SIAC Tournament Semifinals, the Badgers led the Golden Rams in every notable statistical category. Borgmeyer (13 kills), Fairly (18 assists), Saavedra (13 digs), and Jaylyne Bell (blocks) each led the match in a statistical category.
