Spring Hill Falls to No. 17 Lee at Home

Spring+Hill+Falls+to+No.+17+Lee+at+Home

The Spring Hill College women’s soccer team fell to nationally-ranked Gulf South Conference foe No. 17 Lee, 3-1, at Library Field on Friday.

The Badgers hosted their second nationally-ranked GSC opponent in a row after hosting No. 4 West Florida last Friday. Lee blazed ahead with two unanswered goals in the third and 10th minutes. Hannah Fromme made a great pass and Poppy Binding pushed past the Flames’ back line and found the back of the net in the 24th minute to make it 2-1. Lee scored a final goal in the 56th minute and defeated Spring Hill 3-1.

Carlotta Stark made five saves while facing 13 shots. Spring Hill committed just two fouls to Lee’s eight.
