The Spring Hill College men’s basketball team unveiled its 2023-24 season schedule, featuring 14 home games, on Thursday.
The Badgers will tip off their season with a home exhibition against cross-town rival Mobile on Nov. 8.
They will then hit the road for the start of the regular season and compete in the NCAA South Regional Tipoff Challenge in Melbourne, Fla., against Florida Tech on Nov. 10. The team will also play Rollins on Nov. 11 and Saint Leo on Nov. 12 as a part of the Tipoff Challenge. Spring Hill will stay in Florida for a game against Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Nov. 13.
The Badgers will host West Florida at the Arthur R. Outlaw Recreation Center in their home opener on Nov. 18, followed by a mid-week home game against AUM on Nov. 21.
SHC will start its SIAC slate at Albany State on Nov. 25 and Fort Valley on Nov. 27. The Badgers will return to Mobile on Nov. 30 to host Morehouse.
Spring Hill will start December with a home conference contest against Clark Atlanta on Dec. 2. The following week, the Badgers will face South Alabama in an exhibition on Dec. 9 at the Mitchell Center.
Flagler will return to Mobile on December 12 for a mid-week game. That weekend, SHC will get back on the road for more SIAC action in Jacksonville, Fla., at Edward Waters on Dec. 16 and at Savannah State on Dec. 18.
The Badgers will ring in the new year with four straight SIAC games at home against Benedict (Jan. 4), Allen (Jan. 6), Central State (Jan. 13) and Kentucky State (Jan. 15). Lane will host SHC in Jackson, Tenn., on Jan. 20, followed by LeMoyne-Owen in Memphis on Jan. 22. Spring Hill will close January with games at Miles on Jan. 29, and back home against Tuskegee on Jan. 31.
February will start with the final homestand of the season for the Badgers. They will host Miles (Feb. 5), LeMoyne-Owen (Feb. 10) and Lane (Feb. 12) before beginning their final road trip of the regular season. Spring Hill will travel to Tuskegee, Ala., to take on the Golden Tigers on Feb. 17. The following weekend, the Badgers will travel to Frankfort, Ky., to play Kentucky State, before finishing off the regular season in Wilberforce, Ohio against Central State on Feb. 26.
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship is scheduled for March 2-9, 2024.
