Badger XC Opens Season at Azalea City Classic

Badger+XC+Opens+Season+at+Azalea+City+Classic

The Spring Hill College cross country team opened its season at the Azalea City Classic, hosted by South Alabama, at the Old Brookley Gulf Pines Golf Course on Mobile Bay on Friday evening.

Freshman runner Evelyn Hererra made her collegiate debut while pacing the Badgers in seventh with a time of 21:10.9. Claire Morgan finished 18th overall after stopping the clock at 25:18.6. Cassidy Dilks completed the race in 25:18.6 and placed 18th in the field.

Myles Cook led the way for the men’s squad, finishing 19th with a time of 17:49.6. Thomas Monier finished just behind Cook in 20th and stopped the clock at 17:58.2 Sophomore Mohammed Shahrouj placed 25th and clocked a 19:06.4 time. Baylor Barrett made his debut with a time of 21:13.4 and a 27th place finish. Curtis Laurent placed 28th with a time of 26:45:15.
