A late goal from Thomas Wynn-Davisgave the Spring Hill College men’s soccer team a 1-0 win over Carson-Newman at Library Field on Saturday.

The Badgers and Eagles both rattled off shots on target in the ninth minute, but neither found the back of the net to start. Carson-Newman had a chance minutes later on a penalty kick in the 17th minute, but was stopped by Martin Gomez. It was a scoreless first half of play despite both teams putting a shot on target.

Brennan LeBlanc found Wynn-Davis in the attacking third in the 75th minute to give Spring Hill a late 1-0 lead. Both Badgers tallied the first point of their collegiate careers during the match. Gomez recorded the first clean sheet of his career while making three saves.
