A Preview of Homecoming on the Hill

Spring Hill College will be welcoming alumni for Homecoming on the Hill on April 13-15.

The weekend will include several events like a Bay Boil, All Class Cocktail Reception and Greek Gathering. The weekend is meant to reunite graduates whose class years ended in three and eight. On Friday, the graduates of these years will be especially celebrated at the Bay Boil.

Saturday morning, all alumni are invited to attend the Badger Picnic and Greek Gathering. The Badger Picnic will feature several Mobile and SHC favorites such as Dreamland BBQ, the Meat Boss and Cammie’s Old Dutch Ice Cream. Both faculty and staff, along with their families, are welcome to come to the picnic for free. Saturday evening, all former Badgers are encouraged to attend and mingle at the All Class Cocktail Reception.

Homecoming on the Hill is a highly anticipated weekend by both alumni and current students. Recent graduate of the class of 2017 and current admissions counselor for SHC, John Michael Rogers, explained how he was looking forward to the events: “I am very excited about alumni weekend. As an employee, almost a year out, my life at the Hill is a little different, so it’ll be nice to recapture some of those great memories I have with my classmates.”

Current SHC sophomore Payton Gidney also stated her excitement: “I am really looking forward to Homecoming on the Hill! It is one of my favorite weekends on campus because there are always so many fun things to do. Also, I can’t wait to see all of my recently graduated friends back on the Hill.”

In order to attend all the weekend’s festivities, contact Ashley Webster, director of alumni relations, by April 12 by emailing her at [email protected]. She will provide the wristbands for the weekend and/or the picnic.
