Spring Hill College women’s soccer midfielder Madison Hitzman was named the Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Hitzman earned the weekly recognition after leading the Badgers to two victories last week. The freshman out of Baton Rouge netted braces against Xavier (La.) and Point. The weekly honor marks the first for the program since joining the GSC.
