Spring Hill College’s men’s soccer team, on the verge of perhaps an historic season, caps off its home schedule on Saturday, Oct. 20, against the University of West Florida. The 1 p.m. contest is Senior Day for the Badgers, who are 12-1 overall and 8-0 in conference play.
Competing for the first time as a member of the NCAA Division II, the Badgers have been nothing short of impressive throughout the fall, rattling off nine straight wins. The most recent was 3-2 overtime win last Wednesday, Oct. 17, against Christian Brothers University in Clinton, Miss.
The win over Christian Brothers was a make-up game from Sept. 14 when weather caused a cancellation.
The Badgers conclude regular-season play with two road games: on Thursday, Oct. 25, against Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss.; and on Saturday, Oct. 27, against Mississippi College in Clinton. For more about the team, see the SHC Athletics website.
