For the second-straight week, the Spring Hill College men’s and women’s tennis teams swept the SIAC Tennis Player of the Week awards, with Noah Eberhard being named the Men’s Tennis Player of the Week and Brooke Powers garnering Women’s Tennis Player of the Week, the league announced Wednesday.
This is the third time this season and second-straight week in a row that Spring Hill has swept the weekly conference honors. Eberhard earned the first SIAC weekly award of his career.
Eberhard had a perfect week at the SIAC Round-Up II. In singles, he went undefeated and collected three perfect (6-0, 6-0) sweeps. In total, he only gave up four points in singles play.
Powers finished the regular season undefeated (9-0) in SIAC singles and doubles play. The freshman is currently on a eight-game singles win streak and a four-game doubles win streak. She swept her competition at the SIAC Round-Up II this past week at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center.
