The Spring Hill College men’s tennis team swept conference foe Fort Valley State, 7-0, during the SIAC Round-Up II at the Copeland-Cox (Mobile) Tennis Center on Saturday.
For the 11th-consecutive time, Spring Hill (14-5, 11-0 SIAC) swept Fort Valley State (4-4, 4-4 SIAC). In total, the Badgers have swept the Wildcats in 14 of the 16 all-time meetings between the programs.
SHC gave up no more than a single point in any game during the match. It started with a sweep of doubles play, with Paul-Philipp Kern, Tom Gutermann, Charles Wallace and Hugo Blasco Granell not yielding a single point to their opponents.
The momentum continued into singles play, where all six Badgers took dominating victories in each of their games. With the conference win, Spring Hill remained perfect (11-0) so far this season in SIAC play.
