Spring Hill College softball’s Emily Phillips earned the SIAC Pitcher of the Week award, the league announced Wednesday.
Phillips (5-1) garnered the first conference weekly honor of her career after a strong week at the SIAC Crossover. She helped lead Spring Hill (11-11, 10-0 SIAC) to an undefeated (7-0) run at the crossover event at the Hoover Met.
In total, the senior tossed 23.1 innings over the course of four victories. She scattered eight runs (seven earned) on 14 hits and struck out 17 batters during the week.
Her highlight performance came against Edward Waters, where she did not give up any runs and just two hits in 3.1 innings pitched.
