Due to inclement weather, Spring Hill College will conduct remote operations on January 16.
“I come to Mobile after Christmas expecting it to be so much warmer than it is at home, and now we have a freeze warning,” said SHC sophomore and Chicago, Ilinois native, Maggie Nitsche.
In-person classes will not meet. The cafeteria will operate on a modified schedule, from 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on January 16. McKinney’s will be closed on January 16 as well.
“We are in the South. Why is it so cold all of the time?” said senior and Dallas, Texas native, Prisca Garner.
The National Weather Service issued a hard freeze warning for the Mobile area until 9:00 a.m. on January 17. Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 11 degrees are expected, resulting in frost and freeze conditions.
