Spring Hill Seniors only have 50 days until graduation, so the Student Government Association put together 50 days ‘til graduation wine night at Stuart Fieldhouse on Wednesday, March 19th, for a night of celebration and fun to honor the senior class. From 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., the class of 2025 had the opportunity to reconnect and reflect on their time at Spring Hill College before they take their final steps across the stage at graduation.
The event was hosted exclusively for seniors and had an outdoor setup with string lights and tables where students could sit together and celebrate all their accomplishments. Inside the building, students could walk throughout the house and share memories while toasting to he friendships they have made along the way.
“It’s crazy to think that we only have 50 days left,” said senior Catherine Cranley. “It feels like freshman year was just yesterday.” One of the highlights of the night was senior superlatives, where students were recognized with awards, such as “most likely to trip a graduation,” “best girl duo,” and “class clown.” Students cheered each other on as they came forward to receive their awards. “I never thought I’d win class clown, but honestly, I’ll take it… at least I made my mark,” said senior Peter Mimnaugh.
As students sipped various wines and snacked on food trays, seniors shared memories of late-night study sessions, Greek life events, and campus traditions. Everyone on the Hill had something special that they were going to miss. “This just reminded me how special this community is,” said senior Jack Murrihy. “I have made so many lifelong friends here, and it’s hard to believe that we’re all about to go different directions.”
The event drew nearly 100 students and marked the start of the countdown to graduation. As the night came to an end, one thing was certain: even though the seniors’ time on campus is ending, the memories and friendships they made at college will go beyond these final days on the Hill.
