On April 15, Spring Hill College honored its top performers at the annual Badgers Athletics Awards, recognizing the dedication, talent, and achievements of student-athletes across all sports.
The event brought together athletes, coaches, and staff to celebrate a year of hard work both on and off the field. Among the standout winners, several athletes were recognized for their exceptional performances and impact on the Badgers community.
Leading the awards, Nicholas Haber was named Male Freshman of the Year, while Libby Geisler earned the honor on the women’s side. Shortly after, Annie Kratz received the Heart of the Badger Award, recognizing her character, commitment, and the spirit she brings to Spring Hill athletics.
One of the most emotional moments of the night came as Reagan Knight was named Comeback Athlete of the Year. After returning from a complicated surgery, Knight delivered an outstanding season, playing a key role in the success of the women’s soccer team. Academic excellence was also recognized, with Izan Quesada Leal named Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Hannah Fromme earning the same distinction on the women’s side.
The night also featured one of the most memorable highlights of the year, as Rocco Lamuno was awarded Moment of the Year after recording the first triple-double in the Division II era at Spring Hill College, a milestone performance for the program.
The top individual honors went to Carlotta Stark, who was named Female Athlete of the Year, and Jatnier Torres, who earned Male Athlete of the Year, recognizing their outstanding performances and leadership throughout the year.
More than just a list of awards, the night reflected everything that defines Spring Hill athletics, growth, and moments that stay with the program long after the final whistle. It was also a chance for all athletes to come together, share a meal, celebrate each other, and enjoy a well deserved night as one bid team.
