The Spring Hill College baseball team picked up a 4-3 midweek road win against Montevallo at Bob Riesener Field on Tuesday.

Jack Taylor led the Badgers (15-8, 11-1 SIAC) at the plate while going 2-for-4 with a run scored. Seth Williams tallied the game-winning home run in the ninth inning in three appearances at the plate.

Montevallo (13-10, 5-4 GSC) opened scoring in the fifth inning and tallied another unanswered run in the sixth to go up 2-0. Spring Hill answered and took the lead with three straight runs over the seventh and eighth innings.

The Falcons tied the game again with a home run to left field in the eighth inning. Williams broke the tie and gave SHC the (4-3) edge it needed with a home run of his own to right field in the ninth inning.

Kaleb Bush (1-0) came in relief and only gave up a single hit while striking out one batter in his first win of the season.
