The Spring Hill College beach volleyball team opened the Southeastern Invitational by splitting results with McNeese State (3-2) and Texas A&M – Kingsville (3-2) at the Southeastern Beach Volleyball Complex on Friday.

Mikayla Boyer and Mia Saavedra captured their six win in a row with their 18-21, 21-12, 15-11 win on court No. 1 to start the day against the Cowgirls (1-8). Elizabeth Hardouin and Emma Grace Payne (21-8, 21-13) defeated their opponent on the No. 4 court.

Emily Weinzapfel and Isabella Muti (21-14, 21-13) took the victory on the No. 5 court. The Badgers (5-6) defeated Division I foe McNeese State, 3-2.

SHC fell 3-2 in its second match of the day to Texas A&M – Kingsville (7-2).
