Badgers Defeat Morehouse to Open Series

Badgers+Defeat+Morehouse+to+Open+Series

The Spring Hill College baseball team continued its undefeated streak in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play in Saturday’s 7-3 win over Morehouse.

Ethan Valdez led the game while going 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run and one walk. Nick Hunter reached base for the 12thgame in a row.

Morehouse opened scoring in the first inning with a two-run RBI double to left field. Spring Hill answered with four runs in the second, led by John Webb, who was responsible for half.

Valdez accounted for the other two runs in the inning, doubling to right field and bringing Hunter and Luke Sweeney home. The Maroon Tigers showed life with a home run answer in the fifth inning.

SHC scored three more runs over the course of the sixth and seventh innings. The 3-0 run secured the 7-3 conference win for the Badgers.
