Spring Hill College seniors came together at Byrne Hall to celebrate 100 Days Until Graduation, an event marking the final stretch before commencement.
The celebration brought a joyful and meaningful atmosphere to campus, as students gathered to reflect on their college experience, reconnect with classmates, and look ahead to life after Spring Hill. The event highlighted the strong sense of community among the senior class, creating a family-like environment filled with excitement and nostalgia.
Many students shared how special it felt to pause and recognize how quickly the past four years have passed. Senior Annie Kratz described the moment as “surreal,” adding that it was hard to believe graduation is so close.
“I thought everyone did a great job with their speeches and made it really fun,” Kratz said. “It’s hard to believe that we’re all seniors already. It really felt like time flew by.”
For Kratz, the milestone also serves as a reminder that graduation is approaching quickly.
“It sort of begins a countdown,” she explained. “Life is starting to get real.”
As seniors prepare for their next chapter, many are already making plans beyond Spring Hill. Kratz shared that she plans to stay in Mobile and begin working as a nurse after graduating in May with her BSN.
Looking back, she said some of her favorite memories include making it to the GSC soccer playoffs during her junior and senior years, as well as the friendships she built through Tri Delta.
Kratz also offered advice to underclassmen, encouraging them to fully embrace their time in college.
“Soak it all in,” she said. “Say hi to people you don’t know and be open minded. There’s so much out there, and don’t limit yourself.”
With only 100 days remaining, the event served as both a celebration and a powerful reminder that graduation is quickly approaching. For many seniors, this milestone marked the beginning of their final semester at Spring Hill College and brought a mix of excitement and bittersweet reflection. As commencement draws nearer, students are beginning to fully realize that their time on the Hill is coming to an end, making moments like this especially meaningful. The celebration captured not only the joy of reaching this point, but also the anticipation of stepping into the next chapter beyond college, as the Class of 2026 prepares to leave Spring Hill and move forward into the future.
