The Spring Hill College beach volleyball team fell to New Orleans (5-0) and Stephen F. Austin (3-2) on opening day of the 2024 season during the Green Wave Invitational at the White Sands Volleyball Courts on Friday.
The Sandy Badgers were swept by the Privateers in their first match of the season. The duo of Mikayla Boyer and Mia Saavedra took their match into the third set (18-21, 21-16, 16-14) on the No. 1 court.
In the second match of the day, Spring Hill fell 3-2 in a close battle with Stephen F. Austin. Boyer and Saavedra won in three sets on court No. 1 (17-21, 22-20, 15-8). Linnea Beger and Elizabeth Hardouin came away with the only other victory of the day (22-20, 21-18) on court No. 3.
