Every year during Homecoming weekend, students, alumni, parents, and friends attend Midnight Madness to show their support. This year was no different. Midnight Madness took place on October 17, 2025, and the college came out to support the cheer team and the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Midnight Madness was sponsored by Foosackly’s this year, so guests were able to come in, get some food, and watch a night of competition and fun.
Midnight Madness introduced the 2025-2026 cheer and basketball teams. The cheerleaders also performed a routine. The basketball teams participated in a three-point contest; after multiple rounds and tie-breakers, the freshman Libby Giesler won and took home the winner’s belt. Attendees also participated in some fan games, including the uniform race, the chicken toss, and the half-court shot. The homecoming court were introduced and crowned as well. Spring Hill’s 2025 homecoming king and queen are senior Jalen Williams and senior Madison Colvin. After the homecoming crowning, the men’s basketball team engaged in the biggest event of the night, the dunk contest. Junior Stephon MacDonald, junior Alvin Cole, junior Brian Harris, and sophomore Rocco Lamuno competed in the contest. While there were some very impressive dunks, Cole and Harris came out on top.
Midnight Madness ends up being a favorite for many during Homecoming weekend. Midnight Madness once again proved why it remains a cornerstone event at Spring Hill College, successfully bridging tradition with school spirit while giving the community its first glimpse of what promises to be an exciting season for both basketball programs. With the energy from this night carrying forward, both teams will look to channel the enthusiasm of their supporters when the official season tips off in the coming weeks. The first conference games take place on November 25th for the women’s team and November 22nd for the men’s team.
